Commonplacing is the act of selecting important phrases, lines, and/or passages from texts and writing them down; the commonplace book is the notebook in which a reader has collected quotations from works s/he has read. Commonplace books can also include comments and notes from the reader; they are frequently indexed so that the reader can classify important themes and locate quotations related to particular topics or authors.

My last week at Harvard

This is my last week in Harvard Medical School. But before that, I've got to present my research 'findings' to my principal investigator, who also happens to be the Research Director at the Joslin, and who also happens to be a Professor of Medicine at the medical school. So, I've got to pull up my socks and get lots of work done before my presentation.

Incidentally, I'm also going to shift my blog to the Harvard Law School blog server. I've just gotten an account in the HLS blogsite. This blog site is meant to be the official blog server for members of the Harvard community and not just for the Law School community alone. So, since I am entitled to an account, might as well make full use of this benefit, methinks.

I'll post the website of my new blog in a couple of days from now, since I'm so bogged down with my presentation work. So, keep an eye for the next post!!
